He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
We are looking for a qualified Clinical Neurophysiologist to join the Bay of Plenty team.
In this role you will be responsible for planning, preparing and performing a range of standard and highly specialist neurophysiological investigations on adults and children. The role is supported by 3 consultant Neurologists and is part of a wider, cohesive, and supportive clinical physiology team.
While you will need to be able to work independently, we are seeking someone who is a team player to ensure that services run smoothly and efficiently and that the patient is central to all that we do. You will have experience in all EEG modalities, Evoked Potential and Nerve Conduction Studies. Analysis and preparation/editing of data for interpretation by senior colleagues is required.
We are supportive of further education and development therefore regular study and training sessions are encouraged for all staff, with the opportunity to attend courses and meetings at both national and international level.
He Kōrero mōu - About You
As an effective member of the team, you will be contributing to the development of evidence-based practice to include departmental/regional audits and development of departmental protocols.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelor of Science/Applied Science or equivalent
- Registration with New Zealand Society of Neurophysiological Technologists NZSNT
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate APC
- Experience in EEG modalities, Evoked Potential and Nerve Conduction Studies diagnostic techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with colleagues and clients
- Ability to work within a dynamic team environment as well as independently
